First I bathed the whole doll in warm water with a dash of washing up liquid to get rid of any dirt. Then I washed her hair with Johnsons baby shampoo, which is mild. Then I put her head for half an hour in a small bowl of warm water, mixed with a cupful of fabric softener.

I took her out and before rinsing I combed through her hair to get all the tats and knots out.
After that I rinsed her hair well to make sure all soapy things were gone.
I left her to dry naturally, and then realised I had a problem on my hands.

Because of the way her hair had been cut it didn’t fall as nice as I thought it would after washing. The fringe still appeared really thick and even though clean, still had a frizzy matted look to it.That’s when the idea came to cut her hair, but I stopped myself. That weekend my Mum offered to make her a new outfit. When she came back she had a lovely new brown and lime outfit……and a perm! lol.

The perm was outrageous, her hair had gone grey/black, lost it’s shine and she had these crazy curls! Oops! I loved the outfit, my mum has since made more and you will be seeing lot’s of her creations on here.But…. the hair had to go, to perm her hair my mum used small sections of hair twisted round straws, then poured boiling water over her head for a few seconds. (Please note until I find a better method please do not do this to your dolls, or do it at your own risk) She then poured cold water over her head and left her to dry.
