Twilight Breaking Dawn Wedding Barbie Dolls

This Bella Swan and Edward Cullen Barbie Collector set is sure to be a hit with Twilight fans and those that collect Barbie bride dolls. I'm still not sure I like the Barbie Bella dolls so far although I do love the dress obviously as that was one of the big secrets of the movie Breaking Dawn.

The best part of this Twilight doll set in my opinion is Edward! He looks even more pale, if that's possible and it's very unique to find a Ken doll with this skin tone. Perez Hilton suggested adding some body shimmer to his face as he doesn't really sparkle, but they were in the shade when they got married in the forest so maybe that's why he doesn't have the glittery tones of the previous Edward doll. He has a great likeness to Robert Pattinson too so I'm sure there will be many interesting re-dress pictures of him from fellow doll collectors once they are on sale.

Entertainment Earth are selling them as a set and available for pre-order (coming in March) at $65.99

These are the Breaking Dawn 'part 1' Barbies, I think I'm quite excited about 'part 2'! Can you imagine a little Shelly Renesmee doll? Bella the Vampire Barbie?

How to make a Doll Bed Tutorial

Sometimes video tutorials make things a little bit clearer and I really like this 'How to make a 12 inch doll bed' tutorial. It uses items that you will probably already have in your home and I especially love the funky zebra print duct tape!

This is a sweet idea if you have a doll house but can't afford furniture/find one you like or if you just want to get crafty on a rainy day. It also suggests that you can use different size cereal boxes for a different scale so you should use a larger box for Barbie and maybe a tissue size box for a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe.

If you try this out let me know in the comments below with a link to your blog, I would love to see it. There are so many crafty projects I want to try out at the moment and this is on the list. I might make a Monster High one for my niece!

Monster High Create-A-Monster Review

I found this video review on Youtube for the Monster High Create a Monster dolls and thought it would be worth posting. Emma the reviewer does such a good job, showing the starter packs and the add ons. I just noticed now after watching again, that there are small rectangular slots on the Monster High heads, obviously for the wig prong to fit in. I mention this because I was thinking about buying one of the Create a Monster add on packs to get a wig to try out on a normal Monster High head, but now I'm not sure. Maybe I could somehow remove the prong? I presume LIV doll wigs would also work in this same way?

The idea of these dolls are to make your own OOAK Monster High dolls by clicking on different parts, adding a skeleton leg here, a pink wig there. Getting creative and making combinations of unique MH dolls, which they say can be assembled in more than 250 ways!

The starter sets are Vampire and Sea Monster, Werewolf and Dragon

Then there are the Monster High add on packs, The Bee, The 2 Eyed Ghoul and the Skeleton.

Barbie Hoodie, Belle's Hair SOS and Pony Obsession

This is possibly the first post of the year on Pimp My Barbie *checks, yes it is*! Happy New Year, in case you didn't see me post it in the 100 or so social networks I'm a member of lol. I've been super busy with various projects and so anytime I'm writing here, here or here it really is my 'hobby time' and if there are no fresh posts it means I'm busy doing my big girl writing job. Best bet is to follow me on Twitter @cuteek and @pimpmybarbie

Ok down to the nitty gritty, I bought a pink Barbie Hoodie in Primark - it's a blonde ponytail Barbie, doing a wink and kiss with Barbie logo above her head, surrounded by a heart. It was 14€ and I almost yanked the rail off the wall looking for my size, but I wasn't worried as there were about 40 of them hanging up. I love it because obviously, it has Barbie on it, but also because it's not a really thick hoodie and that's a good thing when you live in a climate with 20ºc plus all year round. I did post about this in my other blog Cuteek, but for those of you who don't read I HAD to post here too!

Moving on, my Disney Princess Belle doll that I received as a gift a few Christmases ago from my lovely Nan is having a hair SOS! I'm really upset about it as she is such a beautiful doll, you may have seen my tweet about it.

Here she is on the pic in the left the day I got her, with glossy hair - and on the right more recently with bigger looking hair, unplayed with just displayed and her hair is coming off in my hand or when I pick her up. It's almost like split ends!

This hasn't happened with any of my other dolls, even the ones that were displayed next to her. I don't even want to attempt to brush or boil style her hair for fear of what might happen, but do I have any choice? Should I try to re-root her hair? Should I brush it to see if it's just the ends? Is this a problem with the Disney Belle doll or Mattel Belle dolls too? Please if you have any advice or this has happened to your dolls tell me what to do in the comments.

In other news, My Little Pony is slowly taking over my desk as I become a 'Brony' or 'Pegasister' (MLP Friendship is Magic fan names). I do have some of the original ponies, I think one is rare, I will have to get them out and do a proper photo of them altogether with the newer gen. Anyway, these smaller My Little Ponies are from McDonald's Happy Meals and as soon as I saw them I just wanted to eat my weight in burgers.

They are quite different from the MLP's I had as a kid in the sense that the eyes are bigger and more Kawaii looking? So far I have 2 Pinkie Pies, 1 Twilight Sparkle and 2 Fluttershys although there are 6 different ones to collect.

I think they make sweet friends for my Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls, don't you agree?

Kim Kardashian Barbie Doll

There's a LOT of buzz in the doll world surrounding a Kim Kardashian Barbie doll! If you have been on Twitter in the last week you will have seen Kim and Barbie tweeting each other about meeting up soon and shopping and wishing each other Happy Holidays.

No wonder the rumour mill is churning. It comes as no surprise to me that a Kim Barbie would be on the cards, since the recent Nicki Minaj Barbie and Katy Perry Barbie dolls made for charity were such a hit. Miss Kardashian isn't exactly a stick insect and has real curves, so I think in that sense it will be interesting to see where Mattel go with this - IF IT'S ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN.

2011 saw controversy and hype over TokiDoki Barbie and her supposed bad influence on children (even though the doll was sold via Barbie Collector FOR ADULTS! If the Kim Kardashian Barbie does materialise she is bound to cause some kind of hiccup, probably with the same people who had a problem with TokiDoki.

I would like to see this doll made and many are comparing Barbie Basics 2.5 model 4 to Kim. Do you think she will look something like this?

LPS Blythe Poppy Doll

So remember a few posts ago when I mentioned Flowers n' Fashion Blythe from the Littlest Pet Shop series? She is a Carrefour exclusive and I thought her fashions were sweet but she looked a little odd without a fringe/bangs. Well, looks like Santa Claus has been reading my blog because she was under the Christmas tree this week and I'm so glad! I haven't been collecting Blythe for very long and I much prefer the smaller Blythe dolls as they are handbag size and I can take them on adventures.

LPS Blythe dolls do not have eyebrows, which is ok I think when they have their hair covering their head, so I was glad that with a little restyling after taking 'Poppy' (as she is now known) out of her box her hair fell nicely and wasn't so harsh.

Here is Poppy with the rest of my LPS Blythe dolls under the Christmas tree, I think she fits right in don't you? Check out how voluminous her hair is out of the box!!

It's that special time of year and no matter what your beliefs, I'm very grateful for all my doll friends around the world.

Dolls are a wonderful thing we have in common and for me are an escape from the more serious side of life.

My dolls sit on a shelf behind where I work at my desk, they are like my very own cheerleaders, egging me on and always on my side.

So I am very glad to have met so many doll friends, who share the same passion and for that we all believe in the same religion. Doll!

Draculaura and Clawd Wolf Monster High Set

This Draculaura and Clawd Wolf Monster High doll set are on the most wanted list where I live. I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but in Spain Monster High Dolls are at the top of many wishlists this Christmas.

Thinking back, there was a similar craziness last Christmas, which was when they first started trending here and everybody began snapping them up in November this year, which made them sell out.

Toys R Us in my area have been keeping people waiting for weeks just for Monster High Dolls and Carrefour supermarket haven't had any in weeks. But, then people aren't just buying one doll, they are grabbing 3 and 4 dolls at a time.

Comparing the Barbie shelves which everywhere look fully stocked, the Monster High shelves are sparse and lacking.

As we have 3 Kings Day in January and that is the main present giving day, I hope some more shipments come in soon. But I was lucky to pick up this set online, you can find them on Amazon US and Amazon UK

Bleach X Barbie Part One!

I've been meaning to post about the Bleach salon in London collaboration with Barbie for a little while and had so much to do with my other projects it slipped under the carpet.

Anyway, seeing as the main focus of Pimp My Barbie is custom Barbies and having fun making OOAK dolls, I just HAD to post about these wonderful customizations.

The idea is that Barbie is Bleach salons latest high profile client and Babz is pretty experimental with her hair at the moment, which ties in well with the Barbie Designable Hair Extensions release.
Every day Bleach are making our eyes happy with the latest Pimped Barbie, the inspirations behind the doll and a little bit about the colourists and stylists from Bleach.

I hope these inspire any wannabe Barbie artists, I know they have inspired me a lot, the importance is to have fun and express yourself.

LPS Blythe Flowers n Fashion Exclusive

I was in a supermarket called Carrefour a few weeks ago and found this Littlest Pet Shop Blythe and she is supposedly an exclusive to Carrefour. Her name is Flowers and Fashion Blythe and she has this 60's vibe going on. I like the little fashions but I prefer my Blythe dolls to have a fringe/bangs for some reason. I think they look a bit odd without eyebrows.

The day gets better and better in Barbie world! Today it was announced that there was an official Nicki Minaj OOAK Barbie up for auction on CharityBuzz, but now there's also a Katy Perry Barbie too! Yikes!

The Barbie® Adores Katy Perry…and Cupcakes! doll is based on Katy Perry's cupcake dress from her California Dreams tour and after looking at several photos of the original, this OOAK Barbie is spot on! Even the blue hair with the little heart is just right. Not to mention the sparkly tights with real Swarovski crystals on them! All the little cupcakes were hand painted too (all 70 of them). Amy Lee, a Mattel designer has done the most amazing job in capturing Katy Perry in plastic!

Nicki Minaj Barbie Doll OOAK

Barbie introduces her Minajesty! is the official name of this one-of-a-kind Nicki Minaj Barbie doll designed by Stephen Sumner.

I think you will agree that Miss Minaj looks fabulous as a Barbie doll, is it just me or does she seem quite in proportion? From the images it seems her legs are more fuller than usual Barbies and her arms also? There is plenty of detail in the dress and hair is just amazing! It's a great resemblance. Either way, she looks stunning and I really hope that Barbie Collector will one day make a Black Label version of this doll.

When I saw the photos on Nicki Minaj's facebook page earlier today, I thought that she was available to buy as a Collector Barbie, but in fact Barbie Minaj is being auctioned off for a VERY good cause on CharityBuzz as part of the 'Project Angel Food' Divine Design Barbie auction.

The bidding has started and will close on 19th December, she has an estimated value of $15,000.00 so let's hope it raises plenty of money for a great charity.

Ken looks a lot like Ellen, Barbie looks a lot like iJustine

There's no denying Ken looks a bit like Ellen Degeneres on the cover of the Barbie Fairy Secret sticker book, but it's just been another excuse for Barbie haters or bored, sensationalistic soccer moms to have a moan after the TokiDoki Barbie situation.

What if Barbie was gay? Who cares? I watched some of the Fairy Secret and it was quite good, Ken doesn't look as feminine in it though. I think the artist of the sticker book just drew him differently than usual and he happens to look like someone, just like Barbie has a resemblance to Justine Ezarik, but there was no outrage about that was there?

Conclusion: Boredom + Barbie = bored outrage for no reason.

Blythe's Adventures - Petsitting TinTin's Dog Snowy!

Blythe is having a busy Saturday afternoon petsitting TinTin's dog Snowy.

Snowy is giving her a bit of a hard time, he's very adventurous and is pulling on the lead a lot, which is why it is very important to use a harness instead of a neck collar. Little dogs are very curious!

My TinTin Snowy mini figure was a Happy Meal Toy and I was so happy when I opened it as he would be the perfect friend for Littlest Pet Shop Blythe!

It's always worth checking out which toys are in the Happy Meals as they are sometimes the perfect scale for dioramas or little pals for your dolls. I give the majority of my Happy Meal toys away to my niece and nephew, it's nice to always have a little gift for them, and then they can add to their collections too.

I have a good collection of Happy Meal mini plush Smurfs which I will be decorating my little Christmas tree with this year. Of course I will blog a photo here when it is ready.

Sparkle Eyes Barbie

As I go through and catalog my Barbie collection, part of me wishes I had written something earlier about how the dolls came into my life. It's easier with the boxed dolls as they are more recent. Many of these dolls are 'finds' in the local fleamarket, which is where I used to see 'The Barbie Lady'.

She was a German lady who also had a passion for dolls, selling some, to have the prettier boxed ones at home. We chatted now and again in the fleamarket as I browsed her stall, she would call me 'Barbie Girl' and I would call her 'Barbie Lady' it was our 'thing'.

I found out last year sometime that she had passed away. After I heard the news, I went to the same fleamarket and it was really sad not seeing her there, sitting on her little stool with all the Barbies for sale laid out on the blue plastic sheet.
This Barbie story was the first one that came to me when I saw this doll again and photographed her yesterday.

One of the 'Barbie Lady's' friends still does the same market stall, but I don't have the same talks with them, it's different when someone has the same interests and you 'get' each other.

Sparkle Eyes Barbie is very unique, in that she has blue 'diamond' eyes instead of painted ones. I don't think I had this doll in my collection as a kid because that was as I was getting to my teens and at that point I only had my dolls from when I was 5 or 6.

I suppose Sparkle also stands out because of her ridiculous mullet hair, but I think with a little restyling we can fix it a little. It's a great reminder of the fashions from when she was released I suppose. :D

Beach Glam Barbie

I've forgotten how Barbie Beach Glam and I met. I don't remember buying her from a store, but I think she could possibly have come from a car boot sale/flea market but was in really good condition.

I do have her bikini bottoms somewhere but I found some sparkly pink flares which looked a lot better on her with her polka dot top. She has had a little salon treatment on her hair and it's pretty silky and voluminous but could do with some curls I think.

Beach Glam Babs stands out from the others in my Barbie collection because she is one of the more modern looking dolls I have. The others are either boxed Collector dolls, or 80's, 90's Barbies, with different eyes. She is pretty though, her face paint is very vibrant.

I think with the right light she can photograph well. I'm playing around with natural light and my iPad2 at the moment so they may look better if I buy a lamp from IKEA or something.
If I remember correctly, there were 2 versions of this doll?

BLYTHE art canvas Birthday present!

You may have already seen this if you follow me on Twitter as it's my new Twiticon, but here is my fantastic Blythe art canvas which I got for my birthday.

As I was coming through the airport in La Palma, Canary Islands where I spent my birthday, I saw a little shop called Jeronimo. It had the most adorable Blythe canvases in the window, and although I was sleepy and had suitcase in hand I ran into the shop just to double check!

There were even more inside, I just had to get one so I went back to the airport on my actual birthday to buy this with the birthday money from my sister.

The shop owners were so nice, I even showed them Blondie and told them the 'wide eyed girls' name, as they didn't know who Blythe was at the time.

Another neat thing was they wrapped my picture in a La Palma newspaper (good keepsake) and now it's hanging in my hallway. Plus, it looks fabulous against my lilac walls.

I'm sure I will be buying some more via the internet if I can!

Monster High Abbey Bominable the Yeti's Daughter

Abbey Bominable is my absolute favourite Monster High Doll. She is the only one that has really captured my eye, probably something to do with her pink and blue hair!

She is super hard to find in Spain at the moment and I was very lucky to pick a couple up in my local supermarket, which got a random shipment of Monster High Dolls which were on everyone's hit list for Christmas by the looks of it!

The supermarket has opened a sort of dungeon in their basement, which is very random and probably the reason why the rare stuff was down there. I only knew, because my sister-in-law got some insider information lol.

So anyway I have listed one of these Abbey Bominable dolls on eBay so please take a look. She is all ready for Winter and looks like she could be 'The Christmas Toy' this year.

Rayla the Cloud Queen Barbie

This is one of the dolls that my lovely Nan sent to me. After a bit of research I found out her name is Rayla The Cloud Queen Doll from Barbie and The Magic of Pegasus.

As I go through my collection, I'm beginning to see quite a few Teresa dolls, more than I thought I had. The striking thing about this doll is her hair, the waves are unique and are in fantastic condition. My Nan has a good eye for finding the pretty dolls, that I wouldn't otherwise choose myself.

Also after taking a good look at her dress, it occurred to me that I have a copy version of this dress, which was on a fake Barbie (she went on to become the Pumpkin Head Barbie, and the dress went to Princess Jasmine)

As this doll was sent to me in a little bundle, it seems Rayla's pony and shoes have gone missing along the way. I will probably find them along the way. I feel excited about doll collecting again, taking a photo and then writing up about how I got the doll. Each doll has a story, which is sweet. I will probably leave Rayla in her original clothing seeing as it suits her so well.

Blythe's Adventures - La Palma, Santa Cruz

After her last adventure, Blythe aka Blondie was bitten by the travel bug!

For my 30th Birthday I was whisked away on a surprise holiday to La Palma in the Canary Islands. Knowing there were going to be a billion chances to take photographs, I thought it was only fair to bring Blythe along for the ride.

As there are quite a few photos, I may do a couple of separate posts explaining where Blythe is.

In this set of photos, Blythe is visiting the Castillo del la Virgen in the capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma. The castle was built in honour of Our Lady of the Snows (Nieves). In the background you can see a ship called Maria.

Mad Hatter, Sherlock LegoMan and Littlest Pet Shop puppy

Since my last post about my Halloween OOAK doll of Jack Skellington, I've been away on holiday! It was a surprise for my birthday and if you follow my other blog Cuteek, you will see where I went and see a few pics from my trip. Blondie Blythe came along on the trip so I will be adding plenty of doll photos here as soon as I've sorted through them.

Before my trip, I started to sort of categorize my dolls by taking an iPhone snap of each one, uploading it to instagram, twitter and flickr. I was super lucky to get an iPad2 for my birthday and I've been using instagram so much since, you can find me on there by searching for 'cuteek'.

My iPhone 3g is a little tired so having an iPad2 is exciting - a whole new world of apps has opened up to me, especially the video and film apps. My new app crush (I have one every day lol) is Viddy. Viddy is a short video of 14 seconds which you can add effects and music to. The rest is very similar to Instagram in the sense that you have popular videos and can 'like' videos.

I decided to test it out on some of my mini figures. The Mad Hatter figure I got from the cinema when Alice in Wonderland was on, Sherlock Lego man is from a little mini Lego pack and the puppy is from my Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop Scooter set. Hope you enjoy this Viddy and I will be adding some Barbie videos soon! :D

Jack Skellington Action Figure OOAK Doll

So a few posts ago I was telling you that I found Antonio a Geyper Man doll in storage - and he was my muse for this year's Halloween OOAK doll. I am happy to present him finally and thanks to Sandra from TheDollCafe and Rossetti from Barbieholics for joining in and taking a guess at who he would be this Halloween.

Antonio is....... Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas! I've been listening to 'This is Halloween' a LOT this week and the idea just sprung upon me. I will be uploading a little step-by-step in another post of how I achieved his look.

Barbie Window Shopping - 30/08/11

I have to ask, does anyone else do this or am I crazy? - ok, so I wanted to see all of the Barbie Collector dolls, to choose and take a few snaps in the shop and was annoyed to see them all bunched together and not displayed nicely. So I rearranged them and displayed them a bit nicer. Anyone else do this?

I think the people working there were so not bothered, but I thought they needed a little care. I also noticed a little girl doll shopping with her Mum, they were looking at the Monster High dolls and didn't even give a 2nd glance to the Collector Barbies!!! They are so beautiful how could they not look?

My Littlest Pet Shop Blythe, known fondly as Blondie, has been enjoying some adventures this week.

Here she is enjoying the rugged coastline on her promenade stroll. It was hot out, but she had already applied her SPF 50+ and had her straw hat in her beach bag.

Today I was looking for a doll in my storage boxes, she has blue hair. Instead I found 'Antonio' a Geyper Man action figure, who is kind of like a Spanish version of G.I Joe. As you can see he is well built, has flocked hair and what I call sleepy eyes. He had a nasty looking scar on his cheek too, which he obtained fighting off the ladies no doubt.

Antonio and I met at a flea market. I had a stall, selling a few bits and pieces and the stall next to ours had some random dolls. Antonio stood out and for 3€ I snapped him up.

I decided to take an 'instagram' snap of him this afternoon and upload a pic. It was then, I had my Halloween OOAK custom doll idea!

So here is Antonio how he was and very soon you will see his 'after' photo, including step by step changes.

After a bit of a well deserved break at a 4 star resort 'Barbie Style' - it's back to the grindstone, which means giving the house a super clean. So far I've recycled quite a bit, but I also need to give my office space a bit of a blast.

This is where my Barbies come into it. I currently have a shelving unit filled with Barbie goodies, mainly my boxed dolls and fashions, but I also have loose dolls stored in some boxes from Ikea. It got me thinking about Barbie storage and how I will probably have to get some more boxes soon, when I spotted this Barbie ZipBin.

It looks like a cute Barbie box from the outside, but it actually zips open to reveal a diorama of Barbie's dream house! It's pretty cute and I suppose you could even store other things in it too, such as a makeup collection, stationary and so on.

Barbie Stalker

Just a quick update - I have taken a few snaps of my new Johnny Depp doll but have yet to upload them, due to a jam packed weekend. So, tonight after my walk to clear the cobwebs I decided to check out Google Connect a bit more.

It's a great way of keeping track of your favourite blogs (mine is in the sidebar) just click follow! :) I have 55 lovely followers so far (a big thank you guys) and since Blogger have rolled out their new dashboard layout (which I wrote about in my geeky blog) it's made it so much easier to check out the blogs you are following and their latest posts in the reading list.

Hence why I spent the night checking out a bunch of dolly blogs and ~~stalking~~ ahem, following them all. I read quite a few posts but now I will have time to check them all out properly from the new dash, and looking forward to seeing lots of fun doll pics and info.

Jack Sparrow Ken Doll

He's mine, all mine! So what do you think of my new Jack Sparrow/Johnny Depp doll? I totally blame Sandra from The Doll Cafe for enabling me ;) Today was the last day of Summer sales and so I went with the intentions of clothes shopping, but I had a peek in one of my favourite toy shops (Nikki Jugueteria) and there was an impressive wall of Barbie goods. They even had the new Van Gogh Starry Night Barbie and Mona Lisa, which I will put in a separate post.

So I had seen Angelica from Pirates of the Caribbean Barbie in El Corte Ingles but she was highly priced and I was really holding out for Jack Sparrow.

When I saw him I thought yes! I'm super happy he doesn't look really 'Kenish' (is that a word?) You know what I mean though, when they make some celebrity dolls, they don't seem to stray too far from the generic molds, but I'm really glad that they went all out and stayed true to Johnny Depp's features.

The image above isn't taken of my actual Jack Sparrow doll, it's of the one in the store, because I made sure my one had a straighter beard and his hair was fixed nice. I will add some pics of my actual doll asap but I will NOT be deboxing him. So there! :D

TokiDoki Barbie Doll

With a pet dog/cactus hybrid named Bastardino, it's obvious Barbie is rocking plenty of attitude as TokiDoki doll which is due for release in October. I admit I hadn't really heard of TokiDoki until I saw this Barbie, but the brand have indeed collaborated with many famous brands in the past, such as Skull Candy, Hello Kitty and Marvel.

Things I love about this doll:
She has pink hair for a start! If there is anything I love more in my Barbie collection, it's dolls with pink, blue, (insert any other bright colour here) hair.
Her outfit is fierce especially her little TokiDoki mini t-shirt and hot pink skirt.
Barbie's little dog cactus - what can I say about him? Just edible!

Trevor Donovan as Ken in Barbie Movie?

I'm not a 90210 fan (not the new generation anyway, although I did watch it when everyone had big hair and ill fitting jeans), so I don't really know who this Trevor Donovan guy is, but he is supposedly in talks to star as Ken Carson in the new Barbie movie.

Hmm is he Ken-ish enough do you think? The big question is, who will play Barbie Roberts in the new movie? There are plenty of orange tan, extension-clad wannabe Barbies in Tinseltown but I think it will take someone special to play our idol. Hmm, maybe I will do a blog post dedicated to who I would hate, hate, hate to play Barbie and Ken.

It also makes me wonder what angle the Barbie movie will take - will it be a Mean Girls clashed with Bratz style movie? There is such a back story to Barbie and Ken, so I'm wondering will it be a 'silly little girl movie' or there will be some real backbone heartbreak to it? After all Ken and Barbie have been through alot in the last 50 years or so.

Have you ever seen 'Pretty Little Liars'? Yes? Well, it would be interesting if the acting levels were the same standard, maybe the storyline not so dark. But, alas - I think if Mattel are really going to do this then it's probably guaranteed to have 'Sharpay (HSM)' style pink glitter all over it. Either way I'm going to watch it, how about you?

So a couple weekends ago, my lovely BF decides we will have a nice treat and go to the spa for the day. It was just what we needed and the spa we went to is located in a luxury hotel near the beach.

After a few hours of relaxation, we decided to explore the hotel a little, plus it's always fun to see the super expensive items in the boutique windows.
To my total and utter surprise, look who we should see but Movin' Groovin' Barbie in her box sitting in the window of the toys and souvenirs shop.

I would take a guess and say she has been there 10 years at least since she was priced in pesetas too.

By the way, I didn't mention that the shop was closed due to siesta time, so who knows what other treasures may be found inside?

It's a great buzz finding old Barbies in shops today, although sad that nobody wants her. Hmm, maybe this is my excuse for another trip to the spa! Thanks Barbie! x

LPS Blythe with Scooter

I told you I had my eye on the Blythe Loves Littlest Pet Shop collection didn't I? After a little research and fun browsing the toy shops, I decided on Blythe with the Scooter also known as B15. She has big forward looking blue eyes and long blonde hair with bangs/fringe. She was my favourite in the end as I feel she resembles myself the most lol.

Now, if you have followed Pimp My Barbie for a while, you will know that I don't like to de-box my dolls, preferring to leave them in their cardboard prisons. Mainly it's because I have so many flea market dolls and I really don't want to ruin my collector Barbies that I have paid much more for in the dusty environment.

So why did I debox Blythe? Well, I plan on taking her to places such as the beach, a park, I don't know maybe even on holiday and she fits into my bag nicely. Blythe dolls are so photogenic and I can go on and on about their eyes.

Ok, first off, the LPS Blythe dolls are small but well made and sturdy, I was afraid at first but Hasbro have done a great job on them. You can't change Blythe's eyes as you can with the bigger dolls, saying that I don't see any reason you can't get an eye chip donor from another LPS Blythe.

There is so much packaging for what you get in this box, but saying that you can use the card and shop front for a diorama if you get creative. There are quite a few little bits for the pet dog, including goggles, helmet, coat, bones and a bow. Blythe also has a helmet, but no hair brush which I expected and no glasses which I thought would be cool - but she does have a bright purple scooter so that kind of makes up for it. :D

A great purchase and I'm sure I will have plenty of fun taking pics of her.

Starting a Blythe collection?

About 5 years ago, I saw a Blythe doll online, it was one of my Myspace friends at the time, made some videos and I was like 'What is that doll?'. At first Blythe's wide eyes really freaked me out, but there was also a charm and 'Kawaii-ness' about her.

After collecting Barbie for a few years now, I still don't know as much as I would like about her, so I know almost nothing about Blythe. The small bit's of info I do know are that she is super popular, has large eyes which change colour with the pull of strings and she's cute. Hopefully I will find out more along the way lol.

The prices of normal size Blythe dolls are well over 100 dollars on ebay and so I was looking at something a little smaller for my first Blythe. Looking online there are enthusiasts all over the world, (as with Barbie) and there are some pretty amazing photos of her on Flickr too.

Anytime I go near a toy shop, I just have to go in and take a look in the Barbie aisle (just incase) if you are a doll/toy collector you will totally understand ;) So the other day I noticed these Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls! After quizzing some of my dolly friends on Twitter, I've found out that the tiny Blythe dolls are customizable! This makes me so happy, plus they are available here and not going to break the bank!

I don't think I really care for the pets but after not feeling well for a while, a petite Blythe doll may be just what I need. :)

Hula Hair Teresa Barbie Test Shoot

Today my internet has been down for about 6 hours! After I got bored cleaning and cleaning some more, I got out my camera and tested it on Hula Hair Teresa. She has such beautiful colours in her hair, which came across super well I think on camera. I even took a couple of shots just of her hair.

She is dressed in a Hula outfit from a cheapo fake Barbie, but it's doing the job seeing as she has lost her original outfit in her journey to me. I think she is a doll that my Nan found in a boot sale. Speaking of my lovely Nan, I spoke to her a few days ago on her 85th birthday :) she told me she is sending another doll which "has a beautiful frock" to quote. I can't wait to see who she is, I will find out in a few days!

So here we have Teresa, she really is one of my favourite dolls, I feel very lucky to have her in such great condition! What do you think?

Narelle and Andrew

Narelle used coloured marker pens to customise the Barbies, using red marker to dye the hair. Organza and chiffon was used to make her clothes.

Andrew as 'Ken' also had his hair coloured with pens and added facial hair with a handmade t-shirt.

This is 'The Stalker' doll who you will see in the video. She is wearing one of Ken's tuxedo jackets and Narelle again used markers and chopped at the hair to give her that crazed look.

What do you think guys, don't you just love the song and the dolls to match? I hope Narelle does some more OOAK (one of a kind) Barbies in the future.

Princess Catherine Kate Middleton Doll

I must admit, when I took my first glance at the Princess Catherine doll, based on Prince Williams soon to be bride Kate Middleton I thought it looked a bit cheesy. On closer inspection, she looks pretty chic, and her accessories really are fabulous, including her engagement ring!

If you take a look on Amazon.com - Princess Catherine is pricing up around $99.99, however over on Amazon.co.uk she is currently around £30.23. Let's not forget these are limited edition dolls, I'm really hoping for more in this series, such as a Royal Wedding doll complete with dress.

Barbie ¡Sí quiero! (She said yes! Spanish version) Giftset

Eeeek! I haven't had any new Barbie dolls in so long, so when it was Valentine's day and the new 'She said yes' Barbie and Ken giftset came out, I wanted to try and find it here.

Now if you have been following Pimp my Barbie for a while, you will know that I often have trouble finding the latest dolls, due to living on a small island. Because of this I thought, no way will I find the new giftset for a good while at least and even then I expected the price to be extortionate.

I was wrong.... :)

I found this loved up couple on the shelf of my favourite toy shop 'Nikki' and they were a total bargain at €9,95! After about 20 minutes of examining, (you have to make sure the face paint is nice don't you?) which bugs my fiancé slightly, I chose my dolls and skipped to the checkout. I also snapped up Dolls of the World Japan Barbie, which I will write about in another post.

I'm not a de-boxer (too much dust) so I opened the top of the box to try and turn Ken's head a bit more, but he wouldn't budge. Oh and he is wearing way too much hair gel (concrete). I saw a pic somewhere, can't remember now, of Ken's hair restyled into a Justin Bieber sweep and it looks so much better! (I will add the link when I find it promise)

There are a few differences in the Spanish giftset to the English one, the heart in the middle of the dolls is plain in Spanish but says 'Together Again' in English and obviously the name - '¡Sí quiero!' (I do) which suggests marriage more than just getting back together.

Overall I'm very very happy with my new Ken and Barbie, Ken has the cutest flip flops with his name on them, Barbie's swimsuit has those plastic see through bra strap things to keep it up. A fabulous bargain for what you get in the set.

Barbie takes Ken back on Valentine's Day

Ken Carson has whipped up a (marketing/undying love for Barbie) frenzy over the last few months, including confessing his love to Barbie via billboards, the Jumbotron in Times Square, tweets, 4square, Facebook and buying personalized Barbie cupcakes from the Magnolia Bakery!

Well it worked! Barbie has finally taken Ken back into her life, years after the split and on Valentine's Day too!

On the reconciliation Barbie says:

It's been a while...Barbie

Sorry to all my faithful readers, it seems a while since I updated Pimp My Barbie. I've been so busy with life in general, holiday to Barcelona - yes! I went to the Barbie Store in Barcelona at last! It truly was amazing, as promised I did live tweets from there and uploaded pics onto the Facebook fan page so if you are a fan or a follower you didn't miss out. I will however be uploading some pics from the Barbie Store to the blog once I've sorted through them all.

I've been ill since I got back from holiday, first with a horrible kidney infection (I get kidney stones) and now I feel like man flu could be appearing yuk! You may know I also write about 10 other blogs, I have so many hobbies and some are actual work so it's sometimes hard to update all the time.

In other news, Winter is finally here, my favourite season - in Barcelona I was permanently in my purple Uggs, so toasty and warm. I may have to wait a little longer until I can wear them here in the Canary Islands, or one day when I visit the mountains maybe.

Barbie Girl Dance on Just Dance 2

Why am I parting with her you may ask? Well, as a Barbie Collector, I want to now focus on just the boxed dolls, such as Tarina Tarantino, Wicked Witch, maybe a Silkstone Barbie or 2. I'm having storage problems too, since we turned one room into an office and the other room into a guest room, there is just no space.

Sadly I am going to be parting with many dolls over the next few months and although it will be sad to see them go, it will be nice to know they have traveled across the world to new homes and if you do happen to be the one who buys a dolly from me, it will be great to see a pic or 2 of her in her new home.

Getting back to Nolee, she is supercute and this is a very short auction, like I said this isn't easy for me to part with my dolls, so 3 days auction is long enough. Nolee is currently at a very low price so please take a look, she comes with her hair in original elastics, in beautiful condition and she has visited the Pimp My Barbie Salon, where she had an wash and blow. She is missing one earring, which isn't such a big deal. Her outfit is an original new My Scene outfit including shoes and "B" bag.

She has REAL eyelashes and her face is flawless!

Barbie Store Barcelona Photos

Ok so I'm very excited about this, I might, just might be going to Barcelona this year!! Barcelona is a city full of culture, sight-seeing and........ The Barbie Store Barcelona! (let's see if I can get through this post without any more exclamation marks)

Forget Las Ramblas and La Sagrada Família, I will be headed straight to Centro Commercial Illa Diagonal, where I will find paradise, yes, heaven.

When the time comes, that I may enter the above Barbie shrine, I will be tweeting live as long as I am not running around the store like a 5yr old after drinking a case of Redbull, so no promises okay? I'm especially excited to see the Barbie Collector dolls section and Barbie Women range.

These "B" sunglasses have my name all over them!

Ashley Olsen Barbie Doll For Sale

As I mentioned a while ago, I will be listing some of my dolls on eBay so I can save up for some of the more expensive Barbie dolls.

So let's start with this Ashley Olsen doll:

Head markings: (c) 1999 Dual Ent Grp
Back markings: (c) 2001 Mattel Inc Indonesia

She has beautiful shiny blonde hair with caramel highlights and a very unique look, excellent for Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Twin fans or if you are looking for something a little bit different or maybe for OOAK doll art.

She has a closed mouth with a smile and lovely lip paint. Her feet are flat and she is a bit shorter than the average Barbie. All of my dolls have had a salon treatment of a bath with anti bacterial shower gel and a hair wash. This particular doll has had her hair boil straightened to get rid of any kinks and is still as shiny as ever.

Her left hand has a couple of dents, her legs do have some biro pen marks on them which I have cleaned most of it off but you can see slightly on the following photograph, this is the reason for the very low starting price.

How to Make a Barbie Princess Cake and Ken Cake Ideas

It's the new craze in cakes these days, and a great cake idea for kids or Barbie Collectors - The Barbie Cake!

I've seen loads of these on the internet and always wondered how to make a Barbie cake, they looked so difficult, but in fact, as long as you know how to make a basic sponge and make icing you will be fine. The round sponge layers are tiered and held in place with icing, then using a cookie cutter you make the holes in the middle of the cake to insert the doll, you don't have to cut her in half.

The fun bit is definitely the frosting part, it looks so yummy. One good tip is to wrap your Barbie before you insert her into the cake, so she doesn't get covered in icing. Also, if the doll's hair is long tie it up first so it's not trailing in the cake.

If you pick a Barbie with a bodice style top or dress, it makes it easier to frost the top part. Go crazy with sparkles or decorative edible bits like hundreds and thousands.

Let your ideas flow with this, you can even make a Ken doll cake!

And hey! Who says Ken can't wear a dress?

Barbie Window Shopping Adventures August 2010 part 2

So if you were reading a couple of days ago, you know that I did a spot of Barbie window shopping in the city. As it's usually cooler in the city and we have had a heatwave, we decided to go again, but to a different area.

In one store Palacio De Los Juguetes (Toy Palace), they had some treasures including:

Giorgio Armani Barbie

She was selling for 117,70€ which compared to prices online isn't such a bad deal, especially as she is limited edition. Sadly I don't have the funds for her so she will stay on the shelf, next to Bert from Mary Poppins until my return.

It's also becoming a mini-mission of mine now to see how much of the old Fashion Fever stuff I can find. Once again I found these Fashion Fever hat and bag fashions this time slightly cheaper, does nobody want them? Why do I keep seeing them everywhere? :)

Last but not least I spied this 1000 Faces doll made by Mattel. I've only ever seen these in car boot sales, with tattered hair and scribbled faces, so it was nice to see one up close in the box. The idea is that you have a blank canvas and included are some pens and eyes to make your own style doll, it should be called Pimp my Barbie!

Fake Barbie Collector Dolls

Do you want to see the most fake Barbie Collector dolls ever? I found them in a really good toy shop here called Valiram Hobbies and they are called Bessie. The pic seems to have chopped the prices off but I assure you they were not cheap. The face paint however looked very cheap and the hair too.

Do Bessie's dresses look familiar to you? They should...

Bessie 1, is wearing a dress very similar to that of I Dream of Winter Barbie Doll Barbie. The dress is ice blue and white, with star accents and even has a faux fur stole!! Yeah "stole"n from Barbie!

Bessie on the right is wearing a lime green and yellow dress that bares an embarrassingly close resemblance to Citrus Obsession Barbie Doll! Even the boxes look the same as those that these two original Barbies were packaged in.

The thing that upsets me about this, is that these fake Barbies were not cheap, they were around 25€ each. If they were like 5€ or something then maybe they would be nice to buy just for the dresses. But what worries me is that people may be buying these so called Collector dolls for younger members of their family, thinking that they are Barbies.

Anyway rant over, I'm getting better at this doll identifying lark I think.

Barbie Window Shopping Adventures August 2010

This morning was pretty cloudy where I live so we took a trip to the city! As I live near the seaside, the shops don't really have any Barbie Collector dolls, maybe the odd old Fashion Fever or 2 but that's it.

So when we go to the city it's exciting, huge depart'mental' stores await! There is one large store in particular called El Corte Ingles, it has absolutely everything you can think of, but not such a large collection of Barbies as you would think, but enough to whet my taste buds.

This is the only sighting I have seen of Barbie Basics on my island as you might be able to see they are 37€ each. How does that compare to the prices where you live, I wonder. To the far left of the picture you can see a Barbie Basic fashion pack also.

Barbie window shopping is so much fun, I could spend hours looking at them, I even found some Fashion Fever fashions! Click the picture to enlarge.

These are like vintage now, the small hat mannequins with a cute hat and the same bag it seems. These were 5.50€ each which I think was a bit pricey considering they are old.

I also "papped" Tout de Suite Barbie, Peaches n Cream Barbie, Ken as the Tinman doll and loads more!!

Mystery Bag of Barbies #1

So if you are a fan of Pimp My Barbie on Facebook, then you will know that yesterday whilst cleaning, I found a random, mystery bag of Barbies! It was just a plastic bag tied at the top, so until today I had no idea what or who was in there.

I knew it was from my Nan (she gets me Barbies from Carboot sales in England), as whenever she gives me a bag of something she puts about 3 knots in the handles so nothing falls out.

Here is a quick post of pics, as they are literally out of the bag, so please excuse any dirt or general scruffiness, but secretly I like rough before pics as the "afters" tend to look even better. :)

So who would like to help me identify these beauties? I have a rough idea that image 1 is one of the Olsen Twins and image 4 is a Kelly doll of some kind, but if you can help just leave a comment below and I will send you some virtual brownies or if you have a doll site, I'll give you a shout out on here.

Barbie Convention Paints Cleveland Pink

Cleveland was home to a pinky-licious Barbie convention this month as Barbie collectors from all over paid homage to our favourite doll.

This video has some interviews with Barbie Collectors who are in fact some of my facebook friends, so it was exciting to see them talk so passionately about Barbie.

I personally haven't attended a Barbie Convention before, but would so love to go, from what I hear, it's nice to be in a place where everyone understands your passion for collecting, they don't laugh at you for redressing and playing with your dolls or taking photos.

One year I hope to go, meet up with my online Barbie friends such as Sandra from the Doll Cafe. I would have to save a huge amount of money though as I would be coming from Spain.

This one nearly got passed me! Barbie in a Blender Day is today 27th July, but since I already blogged about Barbies in a blender 3 years ago I'm feeling quite smug.

National Barbie-in-a-Blender Day is all about free speech rights, supporting Tom Forsythe after that nasty little court battle with Mattel after he put a Barbie in a blender and called it art. Well I totally support Barbie in a Blender day! Hopefully Mattel have cooled down seeing as I have totally mutated some dolls in my journey to creating "Doll Art".

You can't beat eBay for an excellent deal on cheap Barbie dolls, fashions and doll furniture.

There is always treasure to be found and at great prices including vintage dolls, so it's great if you are trying to re-collect the dolls you had as a child. Sometimes what you are looking for isn't described properly as the previous owner might not have been that well informed on their Barbie for sale, or fashions.

Tim Burton Mad Hatter Barbie Doll

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few months, you will all know that there is only a few weeks until the release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

There is so much Alice in Wonderland merchandise available including plush toys and tshirts, but I just got my hands on some very exciting pictures of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter Barbie doll.

Ok checking out his closeup, I am very impressed. The one thing I would change is his eyes - they are much more freaky on the real-life photos of the Mad Hatter character, even a bit more green maybe? The lips and mouth are great, they even got in that "Madonna-esque" gap in the teeth. The hair looks rooted or stuck on hmm, I wonder if the hat does come off?

Here is a full head and shoulders of Mad Hatter - I love the tiny coloured cotton reels and the licquorice allsorts scarf.

Last but not least a boxed photo of Mad Hatter, with him in a see through window and bent leg pose.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

Hi everyone, hope you haven't missed me too much, just wanted to take the time to give an update and say Merry Christmas to you all. Even though it seems quiet here, I have been a busy little bee, hard at work on some of my other sites. Barbie Collecting is still a hobby for me, but I have to work on some of the more serious sites as my priority. My Nan sent me a fabulous sparkly Barbie wedding dress, which looks in mint condition, so I am looking forward to redressing a lucky lady very soon, when I get some chance to play.

Also I am still painfully going through and having a doll clearout, some bits and bobs have already been sent away and gone to new homes, but there are others that need new homes. I really was hoping to get stuck in before New Year but the end of the year has gone so fast! Not sure if I mentioned it already but my trip to Disneyland in November was the most amazing time, really can't wait to go back again. Barbie-wise there were only a couple of High School Musical dolls in the shops.

Hmm what else? I have decided from now on to only buy boxed dolls, hence the mention above of my imminent sale. Make sure you become a fan of Pimp My Barbie on facebook, because although sometimes I have no blog there may be a little status update or two on there.

I have also been working on a new Alice in Wonderland site which is still very new but I am hoping to be updating it loads within the next few days. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Right now it is very rainy here in the Canary Islands and so most of the day I have spent online catching up with various projects. I am hungry so if you will excuse me I need to finish up and go make a sandwich and some noodles :)

Pump-Kee Pumpkin Barbie OOAK

It's Halloween everybody scream! Well it's that time of year again and although I would have liked to have spent more time on this years Halloween custom Barbie, I just didn't have time at all. I go away shortly to Disneyland and wanted to have her all finished.

Here is her before picture, sweet little Ariel:

You might recognise this body from a previous years Halloween ooak.

Pimped: The head from Ariel Disney/Mattel doll, I removed all the hair, then started rerooting with this funky green and white crotchet yarn. Then I used an orange Sharpie permanent pen to colour the face and head. I used a good old black Bic Biro to do the pumpkin carved face features.
The little orange hat was made by my mum from material she cut off the bottoms of my tracksuit when she was adjusting them :) she is a genius.
Black patent jacket, shorts and knee high boots are from a euro shop doll 'Katy with Guns' as I call her.

Barbie Store Barcelona Opens!

I just found out from @thedollcafe that a Barbie Store has opened in Barcelona. The store is the first one in Europe and includes everything that I hoped for inside. It's so exciting as now I can stop saving up for my trip to Shanghai as when the pictures were released of the Shanghai store I fell in love and would never think anything like this would come to Spain. It opened on 15th October 2009 and is in Centro Commercial Illa Diagonal in the centre of the city.

I'm already planning my trip to Barcelona, shame it's not in Madrid as I will be there in a week via my trip to Paris. Here is a youtube video I found of the store in Barcelona enjoy, thanks Sandra, I wouldn't have known otherwise ;)

Halloween OOAK 2009 in Progress

Currently in the Pimp My Barbie we have an Ariel Disney Mattel doll, from The Little Mermaid. I have only just been inspired for my Halloween custom Barbie this week, but I had already started rerooting her so outfit, make up and a few more hair plugs to do and she should be ready.

Looking back at her picture I now regret scalping her of her beautiful red hair, but I like my ooak dolls to stand out so hoping she looks even better and scarier after her makeover.

I guess Mattel totally ripped off Aqua - touche! The Fab Barbie Girl Doll is channeling Day To Night Barbie without a doubt, but she will never be a replacement. "My PDA says it's time to play" ☺

Some things I like about this doll:

♥ The way her hair changes with the pull of a string (I wish mine could do that)
♥ The whole 3 looks in one
♥ The way her work desk has all her makeup displayed on it, fake eyelashes, powder blush, lipstick lol

One of the things I dislike about this doll is her yellowy hair. I think it could have been more of a natural blonde colour but this just looks really yellow.

The BARBIE Shop! Mall of America

What could be cooler than Totally Hair Barbie? Well it's tough competition but now Barbie has opened her own store called "The Barbie Shop" in the Mall of America. It opened today 2nd October 2009 and according to the official Mall Of America website will only be open til March 2010!

Tomorrow 3rd October the store will be holding a "Do The Barbie" event to celebrate the opening of the store where you can join in the fun and there will also be prize giveaways. The event starts at 11am and goes on til 1pm. If you go please leave me a comment, I would love to know what goes on.

Making of Heidi Klum Barbie Doll

Check out this video where Supermodel Heidi Klum gets all doll'd up as she works with the designers from Mattel to create her very own Heidi Barbie.

A few of the things that were important to Heidi in the creation of her Barbie were that she had the rooted eyelashes, wore a dazzling red carpet dress in pink and had blingy jewellery. Heidi was also involved in the photoshoot of her "mini me" in which she posed and blew wind on Barbie's hair to gove movement in the shots.

Hey I'm back. Once again excuse my lack of posting here, I have been back to the Uk once again for family reasons and my motivation has been really low lately. Good news is that I'm back on track and ready to roll.

What I'm really looking forward to in the world of Barbie is the new "Barbie Loves Jonathan Adler" Collection. Here is a reminder of the Barbie DreamHouse that Mr Adler created earlier on in the year for Barbie's 50th Birthday.

As he mentions "several" times lol in the video above, his creations will be available from September 2009 onwards, which isn't long now. I will be talking about these precious items in a separate blog post though. For now I would like to focus on the fabulous Barbie Loves Jonathon Adler doll.

Sorority Life Virtual Dolls

Remember me? How is it that I have been so busy these last few weeks!? Well my Dad has had a knee op since my last post (he's fine), the summer has been in full swing and the weeks are just flying by! My favourite season will be here before I know it! Yes I love the Winter so much and can't wait, it will be nice not to sweat and wear a cosy jumper.

Another thing that been taking up my time besides my home job of site maintenance on my gazillion sites is FACEBOOK. Who would have thought it would become so addictive. Even more so now I have found this game called Sorority Life in the applications. It's a game where you can dress up a virtual doll and spend her cash, it's ever so fun! I have written about Sorority Life in more depth over at my cute geek blog, but wanted to give it a mention here since there were dolls involved, so only really want to focus on the clothes here.

There are some default outfits and then the others you have to buy with money earned from you job or brownie points. Here are my favourite outfits at the moment.

Mini Batman Figure Needs Good Home

For Auction is one mini Batman action figure.
He is from a packet of Nestle Cereal and is in need of a loving home.

Mini Batman fought his way out of the packaging he came in and jumped out of the cereal box only to find my house full of Barbies, after a few weeks sitting on my computer desk he got bored and is now looking for a new home.

He doesn't just sit there, he does a cool punching move with both arms!!!

Great little gift for someone who is obsessed with Batman Figures or The Batman Movies, also makes a great special guest in doll dioramas!

English Car Boot Sale Barbie Haul

Hola fellow Barbie lovers. Sorry for lack of blog posts in the last week, I have been on holiday in England.

I have been here there and everywhere, although I missed out on any car boot sales because we were visiting family but good old Supergran had managed to buy me a bag of Barbies and gave them to me the other day, which I just remembered about when I emptied the suitcase.

Normally I'm so excited to be getting new dolls but this little car boot sale haul will have to wait until I'm feeling better, been to the Dr's and I have a throat infection, damm air conditioning and planes, you can guarantee to catch some germs on them.

So although I don't sound too enthused about my new Barbie loot, a few days of antibiotics and I'll be back on track.

Stay tuned all I can remember seeing in the bag is a tinsel haired doll hmmmm......pics and makeovers coming soon xx

Youtube is like a pit of endless fun and a great way to waste time. If you fancy a laugh or need cheering up check out this mime video to "Barbie Girl" by Aqua, it's hilarious.

I really couldn't stop laughing and then I found the rest of these guys videos where they are doing various cover versions of the Lion Sleeps Tonight, and some boyband stuff, their facial expressions are histerical!

Barbie Beauty Products by Cake

Canadian Barbie fans please read! (well it would be nice if anyone read it actually) I just stumbled across this really cool shop online called CakeBeauty.com they are Canadian based and have a selection of Barbie beauty products called Barbie by Cake, with the slogan "Made for women by women"

The word "cake" alone makes me feel hungry for a sponge cake with pink icing on the top, so when they threw Barbie in as an additional ingredient I was sold. Too bad I don't live in Canada as they will only ship there, no doubt they will pop up on eBay.com though.
