Hi everyone, my name is Vikki, I like to dye my hair in pink streaks sometimes, love fancy dress, Yorkshire Terriers and of course Barbie! I have been collecting Barbie for a few years now since my boyfriend got me Sandy from Grease as a birthday present.

This brought back many memories of my childhood and so I began to recollect Barbie again. At first I couldn't get enough of Barbie just buying randomly but now I have decided to stick to the Barbie Collector dolls and will be selling off my de-boxed dolls and those I have found in various markets and sales.




When I first got Sandy, I became so passionate about collecting, needing to know everything, which dolls where out next, how much they were, what details they had.... so on the way to doing that, I gathered up quite a bit of information and decided "hey, I could start a blog about this". That mixed with learning to customize Barbie dolls, having a go at rerooting hair, ooak doll art and just having fun - and so Pimp My Barbie was born.

Although I am 28 yrs old, I'm not embarrassed to collect Barbie and wear my various Barbie t-shirts with pride, if we can idolize human celebrities, why not Barbie? Since Barbie's 50th Birthday, many fashion designers have jumped on board and realized there are a lot of adult collectors in the world, so have since produced Barbie items with a more adult spin on them, such as clothes, jewellery, actual life-size furniture and home decor.
