I would like to welcome you to Pimp My Barbie!

My name is Vikki and I have been a big fan of Barbie since childhood. Two years ago my boyfriend bought me Barbie as Sandy from the musical Grease (another favourite of mine) and it inspired me to start collecting again.When I was about 10 or 11 yrs old I gave all my dolls away, as I lost interest. I remember having Day to Night Barbie, with her gorgeous pink dress that turned into a fuschia pink tutu style dress. So when I got my Sandy doll, I embarked on a trip down memory lane, thinking of all the dolls I used to have and wondering if I could still get the ones I remember so fondly from the 80’s and early 90’s.

After that I started to get a few different dolls such as California Girls, just to keep in their boxes. I did hours of research on the net, including ebay, and loads of other really good Barbie sites that I will include in my links section. Then one Sunday I went to a car boot sale and saw some just sticking out of a box, they were in quite good condition and I looked to see if they were really Barbies. I decided to invest in them and that was when I also found Esmeralda, the Disney doll. She is the first of my dolls to undergo the Pimping Treatment.
